A glass of wine tells the story of an entire area: this is the adage which inspires the “Wine Tasting Experience®”, a series of weekly appointments organised by Strada del Barolo and Consorzio di tutela Barolo e Barbaresco from April and for the rest of the year in several of the most emblematic locations of Langhe.
The “Wine Tasting Experience®” sets itself apart from the classic tasting sessions in cellars: in terms of quantity (an exhaustive selection of wines) and quality (the presence of experts on wine, the area and its history), in addition to the settings (wine bars and prestigious cellars, up to the charming WiMu-wine museum in Barolo), it offers the most demanding enthusiasts an all-in-one experience.
“I cru del re” (in-depth session on Barolo: 40€) and “Il gusto del territorio” (an overview of Langhe wines: 30€) are the first two themes which will alternate every Saturday until June. The programme continues to the autumn with other themes – from white to sparkling wines, and includes in-depth sessions on the “small” wines from Piedmont, with the possibility of requesting a personalised tasting session (for groups of at least six people), with theme, date and location to be decided with the organisers.
